Sega Force was an early 1990s publication from Europress Impact that covered the Sega console range (Mega Drive, Mega CD, Master System and Game Gear). In 1993, the magazine was split into two separate titles: ‘’Sega Force Mega’’ and ‘’Sega Master Force’’.
History[]
Sega Force, along with Nintendo Force, was initially announced in mid-1991 by Newsfield Publications. However, the liquidation of the publisher resulted in the magazine being significantly delayed. It was eventually launched by Europress Impact on December 12th, 1991 (the same day as the world debut of Sega's Mega-CD).
In 1993, Europress, now called Impact Magazines, made the decision to separate ‘’Sega Force’’ into two separate titles. Sega Force Mega (covering the Mega Drive and Mega CD) and Sega Master Force (covering the Master System). Both titles featured a ‘G-Force’ section that covered the Sega Game Gear. Both mags didn't last so long, though. They became liquidated as Impact closed its doors in early 1994.
